Bugatti Automobiles SAS revealed its new Bolide car online on October 28, 2020. According to Bugatti, the Bolide will be the last car ever produced to use their iconic W16 engine. The name Bolide comes from the term , which literally means "racing car" in French.
The weight of this hypercar has been reduced to 1245 kg, an extraordinary result considering that the Chiron is approaching two tons and that the engine itself reaches 400 kg. The engine is a 7993 cc, four-turbo W16 with a capacity of 1850 hp and a top speed of "well over 500 km/h". The torque is phenomenal: 190 mkg. The performance is astounding: from 0 to 400 km/h in 12"1 and a lateral acceleration capacity of 2.8G. The magnesium rims carry monstrous slicks measuring 34 cm at the front and 40 cm at the rear and, on the other hand, weigh only 7.4 and 8.4 kg. The aerodynamics are very well thought out and every fold and every edge has its purpose.
