Conor Anthony McGregor is a former UFC Featherweight and Lightweight double-champion. He is also the first UFC fighter to hold UFC championships in two weight classes simultaneously. In February 2013, the UFC announced that they had signed McGregor to a multi-fight contract, making him only the second fighter from Ireland to compete in the Championship, following team member Tom Egan.
His promotional debut came on 6 April 2013, taking on Marcus Brimage at UFC on Fuel TV: Mousasi vs. Latifi. McGregor won the fight by knockout in round one - an incredible success for any athlete in their debut performance. His win also earned him his first "Knockout of the Night" award. McGregor has gone on to compete in 14 bouts within the UFC, winning ten of them - an impressive win tally for the athlete. Throughout his time competing in the Octagon, he has collected many awards for his performances; he secured the 'Fight of the Night' award twice, the 'Performance of the Night' a total of seven times and a single 'Knockout of the Night' award - an array of awards for a fighter that his proved himself to be a force in the Octagon.
