The UR44C is portable, very robust and offers you flexible inputs for recording instruments and vocals in professional 32-bit/192 kHz studio quality. The four state-of-the-art D-PRE microphone amplifiers record the finest details of vocals and acoustic instruments, while the Hi-Z and Line inputs and MIDI-in/out enable the recording of the entire band and capture the unique atmosphere of your common performance. With two independant headphone outputs, latency-free monitoring with effects and the supplied Cubase AI recording software, the UR44C is ideal for producing common grooves.
Take professional tape recordings - anywhere
Studio time is expensive. All bands know that. With the UR44C you can record your band yourself, in the rehearsal room, on the stage or wherever you want - without compromising on audio quality. Thanks to its robust, compact and light-weight design you can take the interface everywhere with you. It is suitable for both Windows/Mac computers and iOS devices. Simply power your UR44C on the go with your iPad Pro or a USB battery pack.
Bring your sound on stage
The UR44C is also a great partner on stage. It is robust and road-compatible and always runs reliably. You can use the various outputs optimally for click and accompanying tracks. Mix the live signal that comes in via the microphone, Hi-Z or line inputs with the playback signal from the supplied Cubase AI software, another DAW or an iOS recording app. The UR44C also has a MIDI port that lets you connect a variety of MIDI hardware, such as to trigger sounds from VST instruments. You can be sure that all the accompaniment tracks are played reliably and you can concentrate completely on your performance, whether as solo artist or as a member of a band.
32-bit/192 kHz audio resolution
The UR-C series converters are among the best in the industry. A sampling rate of up to 192 kHz and a resolution of 32-bit provide for an excellent audio quality. A high-quality conversion is the first important quality criterion of any audio production. During the development of the UR-C interfaces, our product designers have spent a lot of time identifying the optimum components for high-quality conversion. In addition to the first-class processing of the UR series, the UR-C interfaces offer optimized audio quality, which we have achieved by fine-tuning the components and installing 32-bit converters. They capture the recorded signal with the highest precision and transparency, so that even the finest audio details of your recordings are retained throughout the entire production process.
Class-A D-PRE microphone amplifier
The UR-C series has D-PRE pre-amplifier and offers an unrivaled recording quality in this price class. Yamaha's well-known D-PRE pre-amplifiers deliver a highly transparent and detailed sound. Detailed treble, flawless dynamics and rich, rounded low frequencies are the hallmarks of the D-PRE microphone amplifier. These very special pre-amplifiers are among the best in the industry and have been highly praised by both audio professionals and the media since their market launch. To capture and reproduce the warm, transparent sound faithfully, the UR-C interfaces are equipped with high-resolution AD and DA converters that support professional 32-bit/192 kHz audio.
Compatible with all common audio software
Our UR-C interfaces are compatible with all common audio software that supports the ASIO, Core Audio or WDM standard. They provide you with a fully integrated DSP-based monitoring system that you can use anywhere and with any DAW. The UR-CS integrates seamlessly with Cubase and almost any other DAW, enabling latency-free monitoring with DSP-based effects via the integrated SSP3 DSP chip and the latest dspMixFx technology.
Latency-free monitoring with DSP effects
All UR-C interfaces are equipped with integrated DSPs. These allow you to listen to effects in every DAW while recording without latency. Thanks to the Yamaha SSP3 DSP chip, you can take advantage of the unique dspMixFX technology. This includes latency-free monitoring with the renowned REV-X Hall, the Sweet Spot Morphing Channel Strip and the Guitar Amp Classics in every DAW software. When you use Cubase, all advanced monitoring features are fully integrated into the software interface using our unique True Integrated Monitoring technology. Control the monitoring functions either via Cubase or the separate dspMixFx application. If you use your interface with other audio software, you can access all effect settings via the dspMixFx UR-C Mixing software.
Loopback function for streaming
With the loopback function of the UR-C interfaces, you can easily stream your performances live to the Internet. When the function is active, incoming audio signals (such as microphone, guitar, or line signals) are mixed with audio playback from Cubase or other DAW software. The mix will then be sent back to your computer so you can stream it online via target software. With the integrated effects you can optimize your sound and, for example, add a reverb to the online karaoke.
MIDI input and output
All UR-C audio interfaces are equipped with a MIDI input and a MIDI output to which you can connect any MIDI device. So you're perfectly equipped for different studio recordings. For many studios and musicians, MIDI input devices, classical sound modules, samplers and other MIDI equipment still belong to their individual setup today. With the MIDI-I/OS of the UR-C series you can combine the latest audio interface technology with your beloved MIDI devices. This ensures that every aspect of your sound sounds exactly as you want it to be.
SuperSpeed USB 3.1 with USB-C.
The UR-C interfaces are equipped with a USB 3.1 Gen 1 SuperSpeed port, which enables a fast, reliable and seamless connection to Mac and PC computers as well as iOS devices. Together with the even lower latency of our newly developed SSP3 chip and the latest optimized drivers, the UR-C series gives you a feeling of security during recording. Because the UR-C interfaces are also compatible with the USB 2.0 standard, you can also benefit from the lower latency when operating your UR-C on a computer without a USB 3 connection.
Particularly robust design
The UR-C interfaces are manufactured to the highest quality standards and are equipped with a robust metal housing to withstand all the difficulties while traveling. Whenever you take pictures on-site or carry your equipment from one location to another, there is always a risk of bumps, knocks, falls or scratches. The high processing quality makes your UR-C sufficiently robust for mobile use. You don't have to worry, and you can be sure that the high-quality components always work perfectly as soon as you start recording.
DspMixFx Remote Bridge
DspMixFx Remote Bridge is software for Windows and Mac that lets you wirelessly control the DSP features of your UR44C or UR816C interface with your iOS device and the dspMixFx app when they are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. With the Remote Bridge, a singer or musician can easily adjust the DSP monitor settings in the recording booth.
IOS-enabled via CC-mode
Combine your UR-C with an iOS audio app like Steinberg's Cubase for iPad and get a fully mobile recording solution. All UR-C interfaces automatically switch to Class Compliant (CC) mode when connected to an iPad or iPhone. The UR22C and UR44C can even be supplied with power from an iPad Pro via the USB-C connection. Together with Cubase or any other iOS audio app, you can easily and intuitively produce music on your iPad or iPhone with your UR-C.
Based on our award-winning Cubase Pro music production system, Cubase AI is a complete solution that lets you produce your own music in studio quality.
