King Farouk came out of the sea beating the water in anger. He dried up his wetness and put on his black glasses and hid the redness of his eyes. He heard the head of the royal police telling him that there was a rebellion from the army forces in Cairo. The king got into the beach car driving himself, and entered his office in the Montazah Palace, summoned the army commander, called the chief of staff and ordered him to arrest a list of officers, then shouted as he dictated the names: “And the first one you answer from his house is Muhammad Najib!” The Royal Navy forces began to take control of Alexandria, while the army forces were deployed on the orders of his commander in the streets of Cairo, and the military police attacked all the officers who were wanted for arrest. Major General Naguib was transferred to the military prison along with a group of officers who called themselves the "Free Officers". On the morning of July 23, 1952, King Farouk broadcast with his voice a statement from the radio announcing the abortion of a military rebellion and the arrest of all participants in the conspiracy. But none of this happened. Rather, what happened was quite the opposite. Ibrahim Issa in his novel “All the Months of July” reconstructs the truth from among the piles of lies and the crowd of secrets, and saves history from emotions, in the narration of conflict, deception, love, hate, coincidence, stupidity, loyalty, betrayal, dementia, hope, and a plan of failure that achieved overwhelming success.
