Today, Pro-Mark is the world's largest manufacturer and distributor of drumsticks, mallets and percussion accessories. The Pro Mark company began with the import of several models of Japanese white oak sticks, and for a long time consisted of one person. It was 1957, and the music world was ruled by King Elvis Presley. Rock and roll has conquered literally everyone. New rhythms required new musical instruments and a new approach to performing music. Drum store owner Herb Brochstein, a professional drummer and teacher, came to the conclusion that the drumsticks available to him, his students, and his clients at that time were no good. Herb began to look for new options.

L.A. Special Non-Printed is a series of drumsticks from Pro-Mark that, for various reasons, did not pass quality control. Model 7A comes with standard diameter sticks and is popular among performers who like light and short sticks. Perfect for jazz and other styles where high volume is not necessary. The nylon tip will give you a brighter, clearer sound, and their velvety matte surface will prevent them from slipping out of your hands.

These LA Special sticks from ProMark offer versatility and US-made quality and a lower pricepoint

Known as "factory seconds," these sticks have visual blemishes with no effect on playability

This stick features a teardrop tip and a quick taper

The 7A size is ideal for jazz and lower volume styles
