With a new job in a new city, Luisa Clark has decided to say ‘yes’ to every new adventure coming her way.
While working for the wealthy Gopniks , Luisa mingles with New York high society where she encounters Josh – who has an uncanny resemblance to a man she still grieves for, while at the same time, far away in the UK, Sam has a hold on her heart and she is trying to maintain their long-distance love with everything she’s got.
Her adventure brings with itself its own set of trials, troubles and betrayals, however she finds friendship in the most unusual of people – Mrs. DeWitt, the feisty old lady across the corridor along with Dean Martin - her cockeyed pug, the Indian doorman and his family and with the tattooed girls who run a vintage dress warehouse where Luisa finds herself at peace exploring her unique sense of utterly outrageous fashion.
Each character in the book is flawed but lovable all the same, they all seem to come alive.
At times, no matter how overwhelming Luisa’s despair seems, her wit and the crazy situations she lands herself into, make this book a fun read. She finds herself asking the same question on numerous occasions– who is she truly, where does she belong?
