My colleagues and I present research paper on addiction treatment, summarize it, and write about it for two decades now. During that research, what we observed was both encouraging and disturbing. The research has shown that there is no single treatment method that is more effective than other treatment methodologies, but there are a number of alternatives that are continually strengthened by scientific research. These treatment alternatives have been developed and tested, primarily over the last two decades, and are considered the best science has provided to those seeking to overcome alcoholism problems, and this is the good news.
