Tempered Glass is heated to >600 OC / 1112 OF. The combustion of natural gas and the decomposition of raw materials during the melting lead to the emission of CO2.
The complicated production of glass also includes high levels of waste material, and not to mention the huge amounts of water being used for cooling, shaping and cleaning.
WHY WE DON´T USE GLASS
