The book “The Mirage” expresses the personal vision of His Excellency Dr. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi, which stems from the fact that the struggle waged by a number of countries in the Arab and Islamic worlds against extremist ideology and its groups and organizations, is not limited to a security and military scope, but rather is a protracted war of an essentially ideological nature. Rather, it can be said that its intellectual aspect requires long-term planning, which is no less important than any tactical solutions at the security and military levels, and perhaps even superior to them. Therefore, scientific research has a vital role in protecting the national security of countries and societies, through serious scientific discussions of challenges and threats, dismantling and analyzing them and proposing alternatives and solutions necessary to address them.
