(Gibran Khalil Gibran) A secret, pure music, a riddle that only poetry can sometimes hold. Only occasionally.
Many centuries have passed, and there have been great men, but (Gibran Khalil Gibran) was a distinct species in and of itself. I really hardly imagine the possibility in the future that there will be another human being who has that insight deep into the human heart, and into the unknown that surrounds us on every side.
(Gibran) made something impossible. He was able, to say the least, to bring a few nuggets of the unknown into human language. He has risen in human language and in the human conscience to what no one else could do. In Gibran alone all spiritualists, all poets, and all creative spirits seem to have joined hands and shared themselves.
And though he has largely succeeded in reaching the people. He kept feeling that what he had accomplished was not the complete truth. Just a glimpse of it. However, seeing the glimmer of truth is the beginning of a pilgrimage that leads you to the climax to the Absolute, to the Universal.
There are a few things I want to talk to you about before I proceed to my comments on Gibran's sayings.
Gibran is above all else he is A great poet, perhaps the greatest poet ever recorded on earth, but he is not spiritually enlightened, and there is a huge difference between the poet, the enlightened and the spiritual. The poet finds himself every now and then suddenly in the same spiritual realm. And in those rare times, roses rained down upon him. On those rare occasions it is almost the same Buddha, but remember I say almost.
Those moments come and go, and he is not the master of those rare moments, they come as the breeze and the fragrance, and by the time you realize their coming they have passed.
